Florence
The Pee Dee Region of South Carolina is a 7-county area located in the northeast corner of the state. The Pee Dee River flows through this area and provides a scenic backdrop of both natural beauty and recreation. As you venture from county to county, you’ll experience historic architecture, agriculture lifestyle, and entertainment ranging from concerts and plays to stockcar racing. Darlington Raceway hosts two major races on the NASCAR Winston Cup Series and the International Speedway Corp. Located at the racetrack is the Stock Car Hall of Fame Joe Weatherly Museum, where fans can learn about the pioneers of racing.
Talk about restaurants and shopping. Don't be afraid to bring the non-golfing wives- chances are you'll be waiting for them to return to the hotel, rather than them waiting for you to finish 36 holes at dusk (think of the guilt you'll avoid!).

Oh yes, many of you come here during Masters week (in Augusta, GA) which is only an hour away. We can accommodate your special schedules during Masters week, and a for a lot less $$$ than you pay in Augusta, if you thought to book a room 12-18 months ago. Columbia is our state capitol, which means a tremendous variety of restaurants and entertainment centers, historical sights, shopping centers, the world renowned Riverbanks Zoo, Koger Center, home to Columbia City Ballet Company and other
live events, Carolina Coliseum, and, of course, The University of South Carolina and all that brings to the table.
You can get to Columbia easily from Interstates, 77, 20, and/or 26. Golf courses will be 15-45 minutes from the hotels we offer. Come and give Columbia a try - you'll find yourself returning every year - most of our golfers do.

Sumter/Summerton/Santee
Located in the heart of South Carolina, Sumter is just a two-hour drive from the famous beaches of South Carolina and only 45 minutes from the state capital, Columbia. Sumter is home to Shaw Air Force Base, and there are many nationally known companies located here--Cooper Tools, Caterpillar Inc., Bosch Braking Systems, and Becton Dickinson to name a few. Arts, recreation, educational opportunities, and activities for the avid sportsman (golf, hunting, and fishing)--Sumter has it all! There are too many dining opportunities in and around Sumter to list here, but diners can choose from nearly 40 locally-owned restaurants serving everything from down-home southern barbecue to ethnic goods from places across the world, to more sophisticated dining fare.
One of the most unusual attractions in the Sumter area, the Poinsett Bombing Range is the only U.S. Air Force bombing range in the world that's open to the public. Thousands of visitors each year watch from a safe distance as fighter jets scream above and drop practice ordnance on targets situated throughout the range.
For movie lovers, The Beacon, a 10-screen theater, was recently opened in late 1999. This facility more than doubles the available screens in Sumter. Live theater is also alive and well in Sumter through the Sumter Little Theater.
Santee and Summerton are two rapidly growing communities located in Clarendon and Orangeburg counties. Right off Interstate 95, they are surrounded by 2 lakes, 2 rivers, 2 canals, a vast swamp and 450 miles of shoreline, 171,000 acres of land covered by six and a half million gallons of water - Santee Cooper is a special place, indeed. Lakes Marion and Moultrie are famous as the home of the landlocked striped bass.
If you just want to relax and get away from the pressures of everyday life this is the place to do it. Our pace is ssslllooowww, and the people are friendly. There are plenty of places to stay. Dining is an experience. You can sample good old Southern home cooking, traditional barbecue or a local favorite, fried catfish.
Sumter is easily accessible from the Interstate highway system: I-95 @ Exit 135 (Hwy 378) I-77 @ Exit 9A (Hwy 378) I-20 @ Exit 98 (Hwy 521)
