This is a fairly flat course, but there are some mounds that can cause uneven lies. Most of the fairways are tree lined, and every hole is well bunkered. There are water hazards that come into play on at least eight holes, plus sand bunkers and grass bunkers scattered throughout the entire course. The back nine has smaller greens and narrower fairways than the front nine, and was built on more hilly terrain. The bar and restaurant are restricted to members and their guests on weekends. But the public is welcome to enjoy these facilities during the week.

The new 9 holes will be more reminiscent of a "beach" course than the existing 18 - hang onto your clubs because the scenery will make you forget where you are - lots of water & sand. The existing 18 is a well manicured blend of Scottish and American styles which boasts large greens and plenty of water to keep you from getting complacent. Host PGA Golf Pro, E.B. Bell, and his able assistant, Robert Viola, are very proud of both the layout and the condition of the course. His entire staff works hard to please all their visitors - Nice grill menu!

Columbia
While South Carolina is proud to be the Number One golf destination in the country, many of you golfers don't realize that Columbia is one of the best bargains in the Golf Tourism industry. In most cases, you will pay less for a day of golf, including cart and hotel, than you are accustomed to paying for just a round of golf in your home Northern states.
Our courses, public, private and in-between offer renowned golf architects like Pete and PB Dye, Tom Fazio, Ken Killian. Columbia is nestled in some hilly
terrain and this lends itself to some very interesting scenery and challenges on the golf courses in this area.
These courses offer some great amenities, like lighted driving ranges and full service grill rooms open to the public. Many of these courses host state and local tournaments, even some lower level Professional events. You will encounter some of the most savvy PGA Professionals in our state managing the activity at these greater Columbia courses. And they employ some very dedicated greens superintendents who do a commendable job keeping these courses maintained all year round.

A Tom Jackson "Signature Course," Wyboo Golf Club opened in October 1999 and was named one of the top 10 courses in The State in 2002 and the best golf course in Clarendon County. It features rolling terrain and strategically placed bunkers and demands a variety of shots.
Spacious fairways are forgiving for slightly errant tee shots, but the approach shots are a different matter, demanding a high degree of accuracy due to the placement of bunkers and other hazards around the greens.
